Description

Biomedical Innovations is currently seeking a Maintenance Custodian in Sandpoint, Idaho who will be responsible for performing custodial duties to include overall building and grounds maintenance and repair functions.


Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Clean, sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors
  • Clean carpet, upholstery, and furniture
  • Wash windows, screens, sills, woodwork, doors, walls and ceilings
  • Order and stock necessary materials and supplies
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, dust and vacuum offices & cubicles
  • Move equipment and furniture
  • Collect and dispose of garbage / waste and assist in keeping premises in an orderly condition
  • Shovel snow, spread snow melt, and maintain outside sidewalks
  • Provide back up for maintenance and minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC and may perform routine carpentry work
  • Perform some repairs and maintenance of buildings by patching walls and doors, painting walls and trip, and replacing fixtures and partitions; replace damaged ceiling and floor tiles, and repair carpet
  • Set up and take down tables and chairs for programs
  • Proficiently operate various tools and equipment used in building cleaning and maintenance
  • Regular attendance
  • Abide by all safety and security rules set by the company and regulatory agencies

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum two years of experience in custodial/building maintenance positions required. 5+ years preferred.

  • Experience proficiently operating floor buffers, steam cleaners, carpet cleaners, vacuums, mops, brooms, dusting equipment and various hand and power tools required.

  • Mechanical aptitude and skill in the operation of a variety of hand and power tools is required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and waxing compounds, heating and ventilation equipment, snow blowers, and custodial equipment and tools utilized in building maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems and sustain long periods of moderate physical activity.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work well independently and in a team, and be detail oriented.
  • The right individual will demonstrate flexibility, accountability, and dependability.
