Description
Biomedical Innovations - Sandpoint is currently accepting applications for a Quality Control Technician. This position will be responsible for performing incoming inspections and product testing in accordance with company procedures and ISO standards. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how the products will be used in production.  

Essential Responsibilities Include:
  • Perform incoming inspections: take measurements, perform tests, and record data.
  • Work closely with Program Management to create Incoming Inspection Sheets for new materials.
  • Monitor QC Hold and maintain database of items held.
  • Act as a Quality Department Representative to the Safety Committee.
  • Schedule and monitor calibration of all equipment and maintain database.
  • Act as Quality Gel-Maker back-up.
  • Write Non-Conformances, CARs and Preventative Actions.
  • Perform tests on product as required.
  • Act as back-up Quality Technician, performing First Part Checks, overseeing Travelers, and ensuring adherence to cGMP, FDA 21 CFR 820, and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the QC Lab / Testing area.
  • Perform cleanliness inspections.
  • Assist with quality related training for new hires, traveler training, etc.
  • Revise quality testing procedures as needed.
  • Regular attendance
  • Abide by all safety and security rules set by the company and regulatory agencies
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of experience working in a production environment is required.
  • Intermediate computer skills required, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel and ISOXpress.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cGMP and the importance of adherence to government and ISO requirements.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements and record data accurately.
  • Comfortable and skilled at operating tools and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while under time constraints.
  • Strong product knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all departments.
  • The right individual will demonstrate accountability, dependability, and excellent teamwork skills
