Biomedical Innovations, a Nissha company, is the premier medical device contract manufacturer. We provide product development, assembly, and packaging services to the medical device industry.

We are currently seeking a Machine Technician who will be responsible for operation of Machine Shop equipment, maintenance of production machines, and design of tooling, dies and machine layouts. Swing Shift Only.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all production and Research and Development equipment including electrode machines, Delta Mod-Tech, MARS, Deimos Platform, packaging machines, sealers, lasers, die stations, fill stations welders and distillation unit.
  • Program and operate the CNC, manual mill and lathe in the Machine Shop.
  • Operate and maintain the lasers.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all Tech-E (electrode) production machines; wire old and new machines as needed.
  • Assist in designing tooling and dies; review drawings, inspect new and re-sharpened dies.
  • Read protocols and run validations on whole line of machines to ensure that the machines are performing as needed by product requirement.
  • Train new employees on equipment.
  • Write new work orders for preventive maintenance.
  • Fabricate and/or order new parts.
  • Assist in designing new web path layouts on the Delta Machine; perform maintenance.
  • Work with customers and outside contractors on projects.
  • Work with Project Managers on new products.
  • Assist the Automation Engineers and Mechanical Engineers in building and design new equipment.
  • Responsible for building maintenance.
  • Maintain EAM maintenance program. Write procedures and add any new procedures into the system, review and notify production when maintenance is due on any machine.
  • Abides by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Regular Attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related experience.
  • Minimum three years production maintenance or millwright experience preferred.
  • Mechanical and machine shop ability and experience preferred.
  • Three years machine operator experience preferably in the medical device industry desired.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Good eye and hand coordination.
  • The right individual will demonstrate accountability, dependability, and excellent teamwork skills.
